Taylor: I think there were actually 2 seperate water towers. The water tower on the lower line up the canyon a bit above the snow plow is really quite a way from the one up on the Curry mainline. It would have had a much less extensive base as it appears to set up on a benched area maybe 5' or so above the rail grade. On the snowplow Jim Grigsby said he understood that some of the plows used on the logging branches simply skidded along ont the icy rails. None the less I would also like to revisit these sites for more exploration and perhaps a little excavation if you run the shovel.
