The only thing I really know is that a guy told Ken that he saw the #50 steamed up in an engine shed when he was on a rail tour in Peru. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to get into it, as I had to catch a train. When your up there in September, he can probably tell you a lot more than I can. In any case, this sure throws all those reports out the window if it's true. One more thing, when Bret and I looked around on the Curry Branch we found a three trucked, cabbage stacked, wood burning, narrow gauge Willamette shay.
