Here are two photos that Olaf took at Carbon Junction about three months before the flying-drop caboose shots in his root post, above -
I'm posting them myself so that he won't be blamed for the mediocre quality of the scans that I did for him about two years ago.
The first one shows #483 on the Farmington branch, headed north toward Durango
; the main line east to Alamosa via Chama curves away uphill to the left, and the siding is behind the photographer

In this second shot #483 is on the branch line backing south toward Farmington
; the main line between Alamosa and Durango is in the foreground, the flats in the right background are on the siding
