I've read before that the southern Rockies are somewhat known for having lots of areas of weak and crumbly rock. It's evident in parts of that video. In the eternal war against gravity, gravity will always win eventually.

The perspective also serves to highlight how much wider the equipment is than the track gauge and acts as a subtle reminder to be careful if photographing from trackside.
