John,that is a really spectacular photo of 480 and 488 doubleheading, the best I have seen.

Here are a couple of other shots of 480 and 488 three years later, on January 30, 1964, at Gato by Thomas Koglin. On this occasion the engines uncoupled from their train to take water and to pick up a car of company equipment before heading on to Chama, where they arrived well after dark.
