Not to steal the thread; but the Marie Louise was a real Sacramento River stern wheel steam boat. I made an excursion aboard on one of my trips to the Capital of California. She was extremely quiet; I could feel the vibrasion of machinery through the fore deck and asked what it was. Was told it was a Diesel-powered generator that was required by the US Coast Guard.

I do not know what happened to the river boat or her antique steam engine in recent years.
