Hal kept a couple smaller narrow gauge engines, but for the most part he devoted his time to other steam powered machinery. Hal had a steam powered caliope and he built a steam powered paddle wheel river boat named the Elizabeth Louise, which he mysteriously fell off of during a Sacramento River storm surge, and drown.
