Here are two examples of some interesting conversions that the YMSP made to convert WSL equipment to tourist use. First a log car that looked like one of these
now looks like this
Note the dual air hoses, the YMSP used both automatic and straight air just like the WSL.
And it still boggles my mind that they could convert something like this
into this
It starts to make sense when you note that our purloined motor car was running backwards....you can see the radiator at the far end and you will note a shield on the lower side of the YMSP conversion where the chain drive is. Basically the WSL motor cars were stripped down to the motor and frame, the frame extended, and a totally new body build on top of the frame. Looks like a puppy dog to me.
