Michael, the loading of that dozer does look a little sketchy, doesn’t it. And I noticed the end of the flatcar looks like it was cobbled together from another car, because there’s an inverted “2” painted on it. Ridgway yard must have been fun to explore and in the main photo I see no less than three short cabeese. Included in Jack’s shots are a couple of the Rotary that blew up, languishing in the yard, but these have been seen elsewhere so I didn’t choose them for posting.
And Fritz, I first visited Rico as a kid on one of our 1960s trips and I remember the tank well. Also probably visited a couple times since. I seem to remember a chain link fence being around it, but would have to dig out the slide to confirm that. It’s great you and others are working on preservation and restoration.
