463 and it's steam based friends might be more powerful, but when I talked to Max Pacheco in the Chama yard last week, he was only expecting three or four ballast gondolas anyway.
If you haven't been out there and looked, the high-sided gondolas are in *really rusted* shape. They're replacing big chunks of the sidewalls and rebuilding floors, and gates, etc.
When they finally get them done, it'll be worth checking out the ballast work on the line. Till then, they're a study in "cut-and-paste" welding.
