Scott, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "professional", but the folks who have been working on the 19 haven't been doing so for free...except for Jim Burrill who has been volunteering his time as a mechanics helper. The problem is finding a profesional who knows how to deal with the idiocycracies of old CAT engines. Hopefully John Hammond can give us a lead to exactly such a person, who the C&TS is fully prepared to pay so long as he has a good chance of getting the job done. If the 19 can't be fixed, the ballast trains can be hauled by steam, it's just more expensive.
