I lived in Georgetown for a while back in 1960-1961 and have always had fond memories of that time. But even back then when the subject of the railroad came up, it struck a raw nerve, and that seems not to have gone away.
That's unfortunate but understandable. From what I know of the Georgetown geography I'd say there is absolutely no chance whatever of extending the railroad. None. Zilch.
