GLR Question

June 04, 2004 08:20AM
Hello,
While the main issue today is to try to preserve the loop, preferally as it exists today with the current operator, I have a question about the past. When I visited the Loop a number of years ago. I thought that it would offer a great view if the track were extended about 1/2 mile closer to Georgetown so that the trains could swing around the curve and offer a great scenic overview of the whole town and its valley.
Does anyone know if there was ever any talk in the past about extending the line closer to or all the way to Georgetown?
Sincerely,
Andy
