I noticed the original 04466 had a murphy roof and the later car did not, which made no sense. The brackets along the bottom of the "new 04466" was the major clue for its original number. The 04999 at the Colorado RR museum used to be 04988 also. The 04466 switch seems like they were probably trying to get the good cars behind OY since they were not using OM as much. I looked through a lot of pictures and verified it through Steve Swanson. It would have saved me a lot of time to have just called Steve in the first place. His knowledge of the D&RGW NG is pretty amazing!
