The thought of not having to worry about live tracks is interesting. Might be something to that. I thought about it being a temporary replacement for the regular depot occurred to me, but the question arises what kind of renovations would require complete closure of the depot building? If it was closed to everyone, the sign on the platform indicates to the public "if you want tickets on the train, DON"T come in here".
Still a mystery.
