Here is an enlarged crop of the "hand brake tested ALA 5-28-45" on the step of the car. I put the 6/45 date in the border so I'd have it as a reference, since the photo had to be taken after the date stenciled on the car and the car had to be moved to Chama and set up. There is no processing date on the negative and there were no notes with the negative. Was Spring "late" that year? Did the car sit there over the Winter? Was it set up there in Spring 1946? I'm afraid there are a lot more questions than answers.
