I am still driving the 1958 DeSoto Fireflite convertible I have had since 1983. My truck is a A120 International (1957-8), and my "new" car is a 1966 Coronet 440 Convertible. That is the newest car I have ever owned. In my opinion, the last real car was made about 1970. For the cost of restoration and ownership, buying a plastic Tupperwaremobile makes no sense at all. Kinda liken to junking these steam locomotives for new diesels, you know ? It just ain't the same, Amigo!
