Pure speculation, while the standard gauge boxcar lettering looks retouched the car itself appears to be the approximate size and construction of "typical" SV boxcars (ex UN, ex DSP&P). Could this be a) a car on s.g. trucks for a close delivery on the UP, or b) could it be newly arrived on the SV with s.g. trucks from Utah or Colorado.
