Interesting, according to the lunar ephemeris for 1972 (https://moonposition.com/full-moon-calendar/1972), the dates of the full moons were Thursday Aug 24, Saturday Sept 23, and Sunday Oct 22, but they picked Friday Aug 25, Friday Sept 22, and Monday Oct 23. These are probably the dates when the train was in Chama and not Antonito (one train per day back then).

Also note the lack of a herald on the tender of 483 in Ernie’s Osier photo.
