All of them are excellent, and great reminders that the U.P. traverses some spectacular canyons not just in Utah, but in California and Nevada as well.  I was fortunate to catch #844 exiting Afton Canyon between Yermo and Cima into a rising sun nearly a decade ago (seems like yesterday); improved versions of the photos I posted back then can be seen at [ngdiscussion.net].

p.s.  Speaking of #844, has the U.P. ever run an employee or executive special with her on the Potash line?  If so, does anyone here have photos??
