Upgrade Lobato / Cascade Trestle?

Not likely.
The bridges was built in the early part of the 1900's, before the Large K-Series locomotives came on the scene. They were build to support the locomotives of the day.
The D&RGW had to separate locomotives either by cars, (Mid-Train Helper) or by physically seperating them at the bridge and sending them over one at a time.
The C&TS has had to deal with it too.
It's been that way for over 80 years, probably not going to change soon either.
