That's the way my - often suspect these days - memory recalls things as well. I believe we got together afterwards and had dinner - and a coupla beers - at the Dutch Mill that evening.

Yep, I'm in there somewhere but can't tell where exactly. And I'm just about 100% sure that you're correct about Alan Loomis.
The other day you said something about no-one shooting film for the last 20 - or was it 25 - years, but I was an odd sort of holdout. I was a very early adopter to the DLSR world having acquired my first one in 2001, but by 2005 I'd become discouraged by some of the looks and limitations of the early gen DSLRs and went back to shooting almost exclusively film - with my much-loved EOS 3 with high speed winder - until I bought the Canon 5D Mk II in early '09. That was the first body I felt met all of my needs and I haven't shot film for RR work since. I still drag out the EOS 3 for occasional landscape stuff, but I'll go years without doing so.
I mention this only because I shot that '08 315 trip entirely on film. I'll have to drag those strips out and get them scanned again someday. My Nikon film scanner is still alive and working flawlessly.
2008 was a very busy last year with film, with a #18 Trains Unlimited trip on the SL&RG in May - Railpictures links if interested:

Then of course, the 315 trip in June, followed by the first public trip with Piledriver OB to the top of Cumbres.

Probably TMI, but hey... Good times.
