Once the CHS has had a chance to look at the possible new operators, then I think they will need to reopen talks with the Ashby's. Even if they have 120 propects, how many have locos, cars and support for this project?
THe Denver Post article has asked some of the top railroad operators in the US and they are all skeptical of any operators out there are qualified. All of them have pointed out the lack of operational equipment. If the CHS is dependent on State Money to operate or repair equipment, where is this money going to come from? If the C&TS is not being funded by Colorado, how can the CHS expect to recieve funding to rebuild it's meager collection of equipment????
