I have some questions on the Farmington Branch Standard Gauge locomotives and rolling stock.
Locomotives:
How did the railroad get the standard gauge locomotives to Durango for use on the Farmington Branch?
I assume they loaded them on narrow gauge flats, but this may have caused clearance problems especially in the tunnels.
What did they railroad do with the SG locos when the line was converted to narrow gauge?
Rolling Stock:
What was the source of the SG rolling stock on the Farmington Branch? Was NG rolling stock converted to SG, or was SG stock shipped in?
What happened to the SG rolling stock when the line was converted to NG? Scrapped, re-gauged, moved to other SG lines?
