Yes my brother was in East Germany for the NG in 1989 and got the dual departures several times. I forgot the name of the place.. We had a series of videos including a German Standard gauge video, and a Narrow Gauge. The NG was that line, all shot in the winter of 1989. We may bring these video back in 2021. It was part of a 5-pack called "Steam Around The World Series". 2 German, 1 China, 1 Cuba, and one US(C&TS in 94).
The NG side-by-side you refer to was quite exciting as they worked pretty hard until they split.
