Those parallel departures from Lauda were fairly well known in railfan circles. There was always so much attractive steam action that some difficult choices had to be made with the limited time available. I never got to see those parallel departures, but I love your shots. The other famous parallel departure of steam trains in Germany was on the Harzquerbahn narrow gauge. Here is a shot by Guenther Scheibe of two 2-10-2s departing Alexisbad simultaneously. I never was in Alexisbad at the right time either, although I spent a number of days on the Harzquerbahn that is still going strong with steam (when the Harzquerbahn took over the narrow gauge lines in the Harz mountains in 1993, they started off with 25 steam locomotives, 20 of which were operating - I don't know about today's status, but pre-covid steam was very active)
