From experience that is very expensive for a locomotive. I understand they are not standard guage and maybe that adds value however, I doubt it. Just as an idea of value, Todays locomotive market is that you can buy an operating SD40-2 for about $90K (3000HP) or SW1500 switcher for around $125K (1500 HP)just as two examples. Class 1's have been purging there rosters and Loco Values are down. Again maybe the guage is a factor but It is quite a spread!!
