I would be hard to findout the drop distance on the ET&WNC track. All of the people that worked on the line have gone to a better place, and most there kids have also. The ET&WNC's engines did have blind drivers on all the 2-6-0's, 2-8-0's, 4-6-0's and the 0-8-0. The 4-6-0's like #12 according to Baldwins spec sheet can go around a 30 degree curve with bald drivers, and it has a 10ft driving wheel base. I will ask the other guys in the shop tomorrow and find out what they know. Our #190 which is a 2-8-2 has a 13ft wheel base and can go around a 22 degree curve. Our tightest curve is 23 degrees, and #190's middle drivers are not bald but are pressed in a small amount to compensate the curvature of Tweetsie.
