In the US, locomotive drivers are often blind .
In the UK, locomotive drivers must pass a vision test.
Separated by a common language.
"Last night I heard a noise under the bonnet, while in bottom gear. I thought it might be a gudgeon pin. Using my torch, I found a hole in the silencer. And I scratched a wing with my spanner"
