At Tweetsie we have 2 36" track gauges, one of which is original from the ET&WNC and the other is of unknown origin, possibly a modified standard gauge from the Southern Rwy's C&NW division. The track gauges are both dead on 36". Now at TRR we press our wheels in about 1/8th of an inch less than 36" For the most part our track is anywhere from 36"-36 1/4". Our max allowed is 36 5/8". We do let our curves out a bit to allow our engines to pass through the curves with less resistance.
