Russo, Bruce's table, on his initial post, shows the boiler pressure as 174 psi. This is very close to 12 atmospheres, which is equal to 176 psi. We in North American narrow gauge country try to avoid terms like Kilo pascals/cm2 as much as possible, as we are easily confused by some of these metric terms. AFIK 1 Kpa = 0.145 pounds, but that doesn't really work in the pressure conversion, so I think I will just let it suffice that the 2-12-2T's boiler pressure is 174 psi and avoid possibly irreversible mental shortcircuits in people of curmudgeon age.
