They were all superheaters. Total heating surface is including superheater, German standard specification.
Note the quite low axle load, just 10.5 short tons. The railways of Indonesia were very lightly built.
Built for 2.8% grades and 150 m radius curves. Used both in Java and Sumatra.
I saw one of these once magnificent machines in a "museum" in Java in 2001. Just a park where all locos were subject to the very humid climate and carefully stripped of all bronze/copper/brass details. Sad sight.
