Years ago Orange Empire RR Museum got permission from Metrolink to pull up one mile of siding and several switches by the blimp hangers over in Tustin. The road master who was our supervisor really lit into us at the first safety meeting threatening all us 'railfans' with getting kicked off his railroad if we did anything stupid, no second chances. We explained that we are Railroad MUSEUM members and NOT your average railfan as some of them embarrass us with some of the stupid things they do. The fact that we got permission to run our U25B locomotive, a burro crain on it's mother car as well as 5 flat cars and caboose scared him half to death. At the end of our 7 weekend track work he paid us a complement that we were more professional than some of the crews who normally work out there.
