I believe the tracks were rerouted from Broadway to the foot of the mountain
in 1942. A 1942 photograph published in "The White Pass and Yukon Route A
Pictoral History," by Stan Cohen, p. 80, shows the Broadway route to be
operational. In "The Sea to Sky Gold Rush Route," p. 4, author Eric L.
Johnson states, "the railway was relocated to this (the strip of land along
the foot of the mountain), its present line, in 1942."
