That is the first 3 way switch I have seen where each of the curved tracks have switch points equal and beside each other. Normally you would have points to the left, then run several feet and then points to the right or vice versa. I could certainly be wrong but to me it looks like those equal points could be a headache after a while. With this design half the points have no stock rail support.
