It's good to see the car down in Como where it'll get some much needed TLC. I always enjoyed seeing it at the Boreas summit, but there's no question that it's a harsh environment up there, and time has taken its toll since the last restoration. Como will be a good home.
Here are a couple of images from Boreas Pass RR day back in 2002, when the car was in much better condition. I shot the boxcar from the backside in the willows to avoid the platform. The second image, shot from the location of the tail of the wye, shows what Boreas typically looks like on RR day with quite a crowd gathered.
