Re: Animas Canyon Railway 1990

I have a vague memory of riding the railcar from Rockwood to somewhere up the canyon and return. I'd have to dig into my slide collection to figure out when. The rationale I remember for a seperate Animas River Railway (which I believe was owned by D&SNGRR) was that the D&S could still claim to be 100 percent steam powered....but that may be totally apocraphyl. The WP&Y recently acquired a similar car from the same builder, which I think suffers from the same problem of being under powered. All this from is from memory, so if I have screwed up some facts perhaps somebody can correct me.
