Continuing our exploration: Near the spur on the saddle was a nice piece of rail:
Hiking back over west over the saddle to the main spur here is view looking northwest:
I followed the grade for a short distance and found it suddenly dropping quickly down the side of the hill. I think this is where the railroad grade ended and a skid road began. The railroad spur was about 1600 feet long. Here's a view looking back southeast at the end of the railroad grade/beginning of the skid road:
I followed the skid road for about 300 feet (it went further), then hiked up to the top of the ridge and took this photo looking northwest:
Roundtree Saddle is on the far left of the photo. The spur I have been following definitely did not get to Roundtree Saddle. I'll have to explore the base of the incline for any further grades.
Hiking back towards the bottom of the incline, I came across a small can dump:
For the extensive amount of trackage here I'm surprised the dump is so small.
