Looking for something completely unrelated this morning, I ran across this picture I took about five years ago at the Museum of Alaska Transportation & Industry outside Wasilla. It's a chunk of 1887 St. Paul, Minneapolis & Manitoba Railway (predecessor to the GN) rail rolled by Krupp in 1887 and taken out of service on an Anchorage yard track of the ARR in 1987.
