Re: Video Editing Help

I have always edited on Apple products. I have two versions of Final Cut Pro (5 and 7). The newer one is 10. I needed firewire at the time so opted for 7, plus the new Mac I got would not handle hot smileyten). One thing about the Adobe products is they have changed to a subscription format, which I hate! So, what I might suggest is to look at Ebay or other places for used versions(Or maybe new old stock) and find something you can buy outright for a one-time amount, instead of getting in on the subscription based ones. I know people who have Pinnacle, and its probably fine. My brother has Pinnacle Elements, which was inexpensive and he has it on a PC(Windows of some sort).
Its a lot cheaper, and I think he bought the software and not the subscription. As Craig said there are lots of folks on youtube that could advise you as well. I would take-up the guy(Joe I think) who offered to help you. That way no cost in buying stuff and sometimes the learning curve can be steep.
