Here’s a thread from a few months ago where Jimmy nailed the date of the first time a Silverton second section was run, with photos here as well. [
ngdiscussion.net] That’s what the ticket office folks told us, and we rode that first trip. I was only 11 tho, so it was great to get the date confirmed.
John, I had also remembered about the Silverton Casey Jones Rail car being in the Durango roundhouse. Did you happen to take a photo of that? We may have well been there on the same day, even tho that was 57 years ago (yikes!).
