My understanding is that it was becoming a safety hazard. All the wood is pretty much rotted, anything bolted to the wood is hanging off. La Jara asked around If anyone wanted it and either historic rail adventures or history Colorado said yes. So it was shipped up here.
The blade was cut back a bit, down to the outer bracket for clearance purposes at the loop. But it's still much wider then a normal car, we used it a few times to clear out snow during our Christmas operations when snow would build up in the center of the track or on the sides where generator boxes would drag through it
