Thanks for sharing you photo collection. Marshall Pass is a special place for me. Way back in 1966 a friend and I drove over Monarch Pass to Sargent and saw the remains of the railroad and then drove up and over Marshall Pass and coasted down on fumes to a gas station at Mears Jct (long gone). This was my first trip to Colorado and after that on to Alamosa.
Do you have any photos of the long passing siding through on the east side of the pass? It was retired in 1951, 8223 AFE 2649 and is not on any valuation map. I have a map from Maxwell where it was penciled in. I have never seen a picture of it. Always fun to look at new photos to learn more.
