It should be noted that American steam equipment was overbuilt ,thus pretty rugged . Aging boilers with all of this equipments is a legitimate concern and what would be best is (if it doesn't exist already , steam traction engine operators should submit their own guidelines ,as the locomotive guys did - before the government steps in and dictates guidelines .
