I don't recall if they were NJT, but I did hear they were supposed to use a F40 type core. I think this is far less desirable than the modified NG design that NRE is converting for WP&Y. Early information suggests the NRE units are going to be around 65' long, 10' wide and 13+' tall which exceeds the common 9' x 12' narrow gauge outline that used to be common. These are going to be BIG engines on the narrow gauge, but then again the DL535E's don't really fit the "slim Princess" description.
