I guess it's the mystique of the line thru the Black Canyon, the 360 & 361 's stomping grounds, and all of that being lost. One of them sure would look nice sitting next to 268 in Gunnison, or in Golden, Chama, or Durango . . . oh well.
Thanks for the replies. I was trying to remember where I read about the "look-alike", many moons ago. So, why not go to the source: the N-G-D-F !
Would still like to see some current pictures of the engines mentioned in the posts above, especially the one in Pomona, CA.
