There are several places where the grade may be seen, but the grading was not heavy and in many places, the farmers have plowed out the grade. The attachment shows the track in Miltonvale that Jim spoke of. A place that is harder to find in Lasita, which is now a ghost town of sorts. The photo of Lasita is looking north-northwest up the KC grade next to the Lasita elevator. The land on the other side of the road, behind me, was a corn field with no evidence of a railroad grade. North of Lasita, on the north-south road, is a fairly good embankment. The 3rd photo was taken in Idana and the KC grade was on the left side of the elevator. There are several old county atlas books online, which can be used to help find the right of way. The was/is a siding on the south side of Onaga, which lies on the old KC grade. There are also places where piling may be seen across ditches and creeks. The 4th photo was the Oak Hill roller mill, to the southeast of Valley Falls. There are some signs of the old grade in this area, including the bridge location, to the north side of an abandoned road bridge over the Delaware River. The mill is all gone, but the road which was on the east side of the mill is still there. There is woods and brush between the road and the river, where the mill once stood. All of the building stone was removed, but I found pieces of a worked buff to light brown limestone and purple quartzite, which leads me to believe the dark blocks over the windows, etc, were worked quartzite.
