I have always liked The Sons of the Pioneers. They do give the feel of the desert or mountains or praries.
Two songs I love are "Way Out There" where one passage is "... riding free on the old Espee ..."
The other that seems to really give the feel of a bad prarie or desert storm is Ghost Riders in the Sky.
I've recently found that they also have one on the AT&SF but I can not recall that title right now.
Bob Nolan and Lenord Sly and one other founded the group. What is Lenord Sly's stage name?
Doug.
