Maybe this was done in 1971? I was involved in several movements of equipment in the fall of 70 into Chama before any boxcar conversions were made and worked a couple of days on the Gregory Peck movie. The first run with any passengers was the press special run from Antonito to Chama in October, as I recall, and gondolas were used on that trip. I represented the Silverton Standard as one of the invited guests. Al Stevenson was the conductor.
