It also applies to books (such as
"Narrow Gauge in the Rockies" and
"Pictorial Supplement to Denver, South Park & Pacific", just to keep the thread sort of on topic). Instead of putting them in boxes the last time I moved, I put them in doubled paper grocery bags. It's MUCH easier on one's back to lift two 25# bags – one in each hand, arms hanging straight down – than to carry just one 30# or 35# box 'out front' in the usual way. More books per load, fewer trips down the stairs at the old place and up the stairs at the new, and MUCH less back pain.
